Val has been on the receiving end of a wide variety of hotel and catering experiences, from the UK to Australia and beyond, in her previous career as a Banker and Business Consultant. We hope to bring our breadth of experience to bear to provide a warm welcome and incomparable standard of comfort for our guests.

The Domaine de Couchet is a lovely 18th century country house in the south of France, completely renovated, amongst meadows and wooded hills, at the west of Aude department, close to the border of Ariège department.
You will find absolute peace and quiet in an estate of fourteen acres at 420 metres altitude, situated in the Cathar Castles area, near Limoux, little town famous for its sparkling wine la Blanquette de Limoux  not far from the fortified City of Carcassonne, the medieval towns of Foix and Mirepoix and many prehistorics sites and caves.

2 Luxurious Chambres d'Hôtes (B&B) bedrooms, and a Self-contained Cottage with ample accommodation for 4/5 persons.

The hostess is a Cordon Bleu-trained cook, who entertains friends and clients alike for dinner, lovingly prepared from local produce in season. We offer farmhouse dinners on a table d'hôtes basis, either in our main salon or in the garden.

The ground floor of the cottage has a Salon with fully-equipped "coin-cuisine" with cooker, fridge, microwave, radio/CD player, wood burning stove and door to sun terrace. There is a washing machine, ironing board, etc. 


Next to the salon is a huge bedroom with twin 3' beds + optional 3rd bed and cot, and en-suite shower room with separate WC. 


On the first floor there is a large bedroom with king-size double bed and en-suite bathroom with bath, shower, WC and hand basin.
